Live, Love and Laugh

I awoke to fresh snow that had fallen over night and it has changed to freezing rain. I can't see it from where I am sitting at the computer but I can hear it as the occasional gust of wind slaps it against the window. In this part of the country, just when you think the snows have ended and springtime is only a heart beat away, winter grabs hold by its icy fingers and stubbornly refuses to let go. However, I don't mind winter hanging on as it allows me to concentrate more on my artistic abilities. Which reminds me, there was a lot of interest in my recent paintings and the gicless have just arrived. If anyone is interested in ordering one or more please visit our Etsy store or message me.
Since I love doing calligraphy and hand-lettering almost any font, I decided to combine it with my love of painting. By use of a calligraphy brush and palette knife, I created Live, Love and Laugh, the Japanese lettering almost works of art in themselves. The 1' x 3' x .75" stretched canvas giclee reproduction has black edges so it is ready for hanging. The price is $85.00 plus shipping.
Midnight Frolic
Midnight Frolic takes me back to a time when I was more connected to the sea, actually living on a sailboat for many years. Orcas are amazing whales and the moon, although we tend to take it for granted, is absolutely wondrous too. Perhaps that's one of the problems regarding the human species, we take things for granted a little too easily, forgetting that many of the creatures in our world are rapidly being posted on the "endangered list".  The price for this 12" x 16" stretched canvas giclee reproduction is $65.00 plus shipping.
Goldy
Goldy, although I could have sold the original painting several times, since my wife just loved it, yellow being her favourite colour, I gave it to her. Goldy was painted while I was still living on my boat and is now hanging on our bedroom wall, a reminder to me of a past life, when it was very nautical. The price for this 20" x 16" stretched canvas giclee reproduction is $100.00 plus shipping.
Flying Solo
Flying Solo is a product of my imagination conceived by my alter ego Trip, an old hippie that's currently residing within this old decrepit body. He is part of my dream for going across Canada in 2019 and "spreadin' the love". During these times when our Earth is being recklessly destroyed by greed and creating an absolutely abominable environment, I've decide to paint what I call "pretty pictures" but that doesn't mean they don't have important meaning. The dove of course represents peace and the rainbow, God's covenant, He would never flood the world again. The price for this 12" x 16" stretched canvas giclee reproduction is $55.00 plus shipping.
Yes, the snow is still here and while it is, I am continuing to paint "pretty pictures". I expect I could have quite a few paintings by the end of this year, sine the remainder of it, plus some of next year, I will still be healing from the cancer treatments and the possible two operations. Doctor keeps reminding me that I'm going to feel like I was "hit by a truck". I've been kicked in the guts by a horse but a truck? Owwwwwww! Don't want to think about that, time to pick up a brush and splash a little paint on a canvas...peace, eh - Trip
